Description

A handcrafted Reynolds 725 steel frame paired with carbon forks delivers the smooth, resilient ride feel steel is known for, helping take the sting out of rough roads and gravel tracks alike. Tuned for real-world adventures, it feels just as at home on smooth tarmac as it does on broken backroads. This build pairs the dependable shifting of Shimano Tiagra 10-speed with tough Mavic Allroad 1 alloy wheels, versatile Schwalbe G-One tyres and a supportive Selle Italia Model A Superflow saddle for comfort and control across mixed terrain.

Groupset

Shimano's Tiagra 2x10 speed drivetrain sets the benchmark for value, performance, and durability. Featuring the same technology as its top-tier siblings, Tiagra provides the same intuitive shifting performance, reliability, and durability that makes it the go-to choice for commuters, recreational riders and bikepackers alike. The superior stopping power of mechanical disc brakes inspires confidence when braking in mixed conditions and on varied terrain.

Groupset

Wheelset

Mavic Allroad wheels are built to handle the varied terrain the CGR 725 was made for, from rough backroads and gravel tracks to everyday road miles. Tubeless-ready and designed for year-round reliability, they're paired with 40 mm Schwalbe G-One tyres in a tan wall finish for a ride that balances comfort, grip and efficiency wherever the route leads.

Handlebars

Long rides and mixed surfaces demand a cockpit that's comfortable, predictable and easy to live with. The Ribble alloy handlebar and stem deliver exactly that, combining a natural hand position with responsive handling and durable construction. Whether you're riding tarmac, gravel or a bit of both, they provide the confidence and control to keep exploring.

Saddle

The right support can make all the difference on longer rides. A lightweight LEVEL alloy seat post provides dependable performance, while the Selle Italia Model A saddle balances comfort and support to help you stay comfortable across changing surfaces and longer distances. Together, they create a ride feel that encourages you to keep exploring.

Frequently Asked Questions

Build weights are provided for a medium‑sized frame and are intended solely as general guidance. Actual weight will vary based on the selected components and accessories, as well as standard manufacturing tolerances. These figures do not constitute a guarantee or warranty of final product weight, and we may occasionally make minor modifications to specifications without prior notice.

  • 105 build: 10.5 kg (approx.)
  • Frame only (medium): 2300 g, forks 470 g

We offer a lifetime warranty on all Ribble frames and forks for the original purchaser. This covers any manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship so you can ride with complete confidence. The standard manufacturer's warranty covers all other components.

Yes. All cables will be routed internally through the frame, except the rear hydraulic brake hose if the bike is set up with a double groupset. If the bike is equipped with a 1x system, all cables, including the rear brake hose, will be routed internally.

No. The frameset lacks the requisite cable routing for Di2 groupsets.

There's ample clearance for 700c x 45 mm tyres (manufacturer/tread profile dependant) without mudguards or 40 mm with guards fitted.

No. Ribble bikes are supplied with inner tubes installed as standard, even when fitted with tubeless-ready wheels and tyres.

If you'd like to run a tubeless setup, the conversion must be carried out after delivery. This typically requires tubeless valves, sealant and, in some cases, tubeless rim tape depending on the wheel specification. We recommend following the wheel and tyre manufacturer's instructions when converting to tubeless.

This approach gives riders the flexibility to choose the setup that best suits their riding preferences and maintenance requirements.

The CGR 725 includes discreet mounts to fit a rear pannier rack, handling all your luggage-carrying needs.

The frame includes discreet mudguard mounts, enabling full length mudguards to be fitted.

Two. Located on the seat tube and down tube, plus extra fittings on the top tube for a bolt-on top tube bag to keep snacks or tools within easy reach.

The bottom bracket shell is a traditional BSA threaded 68 mm type.

The seat post is 27.2 mm, and the seat clamp is 30.0 mm.

The CGR 725 does not require a separate derailleur hanger. Instead, the hanger is integrated into the frame dropout, which means there’s no removable part to replace. If it ever gets knocked out of line, it can be realigned by a mechanic, making it a robust, low-fuss solution for everyday riding and long-term durability.

It's designed to accept the latest flat-mount disc brakes

We recommend a maximum system weight of 120 kg /264 lbs (rider, bike luggage).

We do not supply pedals with our bikes due to the various systems people use. However, when configuring your bike, you can select from a range of our best-selling pedals.
