Wenn der MAHLE SP1 Range Extender an einem mit X35+ ausgestatteten Ribble E-Bike angebracht wird, ergänzt er den Hauptakku und erhöht die Gesamtkapazität des Akkus auf satte 456Wh. Dies entspricht einer zusätzlichen Reichweite von 70 %, die es dir ermöglicht, deine Fahrten zu verlängern und auf der Suche nach Abenteuern weiter zu reisen.

Der Extender funktioniert auf zwei Arten. Erstens liefert der Range Extender, wenn er an das E-Bike-System angeschlossen ist, die ersten zwei Ampere Strom, so dass die Hauptbatterie viel langsamer entladen wird. Zweitens wirkt er wie eine Powerbank und lädt die Hauptbatterie auf, wenn der Bedarf am geringsten ist, z. B. beim Abstieg oder oberhalb der 25-km-Grenze, wenn jegliche Unterstützung wegfällt.
